Dear Business Partners and Customers,

already at the start of 2012 we are pleased to be able to inform you of positive future-orientated news from our company. Among other things, the product management of the RST company has made intensive use of recent months to accelerate new approval – chiefly to speed up approval for our products from the pressure balance business range – and at the same time to optimize these in such a way that higher protection classes are obtained. In fact both aims have been successfully implemented and we would like to give you a quick overview of the advantages which this brings for you.

• The new cable glands with integrated pressure equalisation function now meet the requirements of protection class IP66/67 (previously IP65).
• The new polyamide pressure balance elements in M40x1.5 now meet the requirements of protection class IP66/67 (previously IP65).
• Our polyamide pressure balance elements in M12x1.5 will have a UL approval from March 2012.

The above mentioned UL approval of the pressure equalisation elements detailed above should be of interest to the wind energy and solar sectors. But all of our other business partners who are internationally active will also have great interest in this news, as today it is well known that there is hardly any certification of greater significance than that of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. from the USA.

As already stated, the cable glands with integrated pressure equalisation function have now been thoroughly tested to protection class IP66/67, and can be delivered in the following dimensions and materials:
