Our new mini drain plug.
Are you looking for a simple drain plug that is as small as possible but can still guarantee a high water flow rate? Then you've come to the right place. With its compact design, a width across flats of just 17 mm and an M12 x 1.5 connection thread, it guarantees space-saving assembly. Comparable products are usually fitted with M16, M20 or M25 connection threads.
Pressure balance element or drain plug?
While pressure balance elements are primarily used to prevent the formation of condensation in the first place in highly sealed enclosures (usually > IPX5), simple drain plugs tend to be used in enclosures with lower protection ratings (usually < IPX5) since these types of enclosures are more prone to develop condensation or other leaks in the medium term.
Function of the drain plug.
Drain plugs are always positioned at the lowest point of the enclosure. That way, the water can collect centrally around the drip tray and drain away easily. The thread of the drain plug is equipped with special vertical openings on the screw-in thread. A sophisticated labyrinth and various structural barriers enable moisture in liquid form to escape at any time, but do not permit moisture to penetrate the enclosure from the outside.
